Scuba Diving at Maroma Beach & Reef, Riviera Maya

The reef off Maroma Beach is part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the second largest in the world, and its calm, clear water makes it ideal for a first dive. PADI instructors start beginners with a short clinic on the basics before guiding you down to glide past coral heads alive with parrotfish, angelfish and the occasional sea turtle. Certified divers can simply gear up and explore. Trips run Monday to Saturday with hotel pickup, water, soft drinks and a light snack included; a small marine-park fee is paid in cash on arrival. Combine your dive with snorkeling, a catamaran sail or another Maroma activity.

Our professional instructors (PADI) teach you the basic knowledge of diving to realize an incredible tour under the sea. Take an instructive class, specially designed for beginner divers; swim next to the colorful coralline reefs, a great many tropical fish, sea turtles and much more.

Recommendations
This activity is recommended for beginners or certified people with more than one year of diving. Maroma clinic at 12:00am and exit at 1:30pm.

Not included
Marine Park tax of 2usd per person, it must be paid in cash upon arrival.

Regulations
The minimum age to participate is 12 years old.

Schedule
Mon-Sat, Cancun's meeting point at the Captain's Cove restaurant km 16.5 hotel zone at 10:00 am, in Playa Del Carmen the meeting point is Plaza Playacar at 10:30 a.m. In the Mayan Riviera pick up is confirmed depending on the hotel location.
