If you're staying in the Cancun hotel zone, Marina Cancun or Marina Playa Mujeres are usually the easiest. If you're in Playa del Carmen or Tulum, head to Puerto Aventuras or Puerto Morelos. If your trip centers on snorkel and dive, Cozumel is the obvious choice — and Isla Mujeres for the turquoise sandbars.
